Ghostbusters Day 2025 was one for the books, and not just because I got to hang out with Carrie Coon and Mckenna Grace, aka the heart of the modern Spengler family. These two were everything you hope for: funny, genuine, and just as geeky about Ghostbusters as the rest of us. In our interview, we covered way more than just ghost traps and proton packs.

What’s Next for the Spenglers?

I kicked things off by asking where they’d love to see their characters go next. Without giving anything away (you’re safe from spoilers!), both Carrie and Mckenna had some big dreams for the Spengler legacy—and let’s just say Ghostbusters on the Moon might need to be a thing now. Seriously. Can we start that petition?

They talked about how much they love the family dynamic in the newer films and how they hope to see it grow—maybe even bringing in some new team members. Spengler family pets, anyone?

English Chocolate is the best at Craft Services

As things got more relaxed (and more hilarious), we veered wildly off course in the best way. We covered the very serious topic of English chocolate superiority (both Carrie and I may be obsessed), and the undeniable truth that craft services on a Ghostbusters set is next-level. Mckenna revealed her snack of choice—which, spoiler alert, was not ectoplasm-flavored.

White Lotus… but Make It Paranormal?

At one point, someone (okay, me) floated the idea of a White Lotus: Ghostbusters Edition—a spooky, tropical resort mystery with proton packs and passive-aggressive brunches. I won’t say Carrie confirmed it’s happening… but she didn’t say no either.

Wrapping It Up

It was a whirlwind five minutes, but I walked away with a grin as wide as Stay Puft’s smile.

These two are absolute legends—on-screen and off—and I couldn’t be more excited for what’s next in the Ghostbusters universe.

Until then, I’ll be dreaming of haunted hotel buffets, zero-G ghost traps, and Mckenna’s favorite chocolate.
